I denied the camera permission and now nothing works.

Pose detection is the only way the App can count your reps, so the camera is required. To re-enable it:

  1. Open iOS Settings.
  2. Scroll down and tap BurnToScroll.
  3. Toggle Camera on.
  4. Return to BurnToScroll. The exercise screen will work right away.
App blocking isn't actually blocking my apps.

BurnToScroll relies on Apple's Family Controls / Screen Time framework to shield apps. If shielding isn't working, check:

  • Authorization: open BurnToScroll → Settings → make sure App Blocking is enabled and you've granted Screen Time access. If you skipped this step in onboarding, Settings → "Set up app blocking" will run it again.
  • Selected apps: Settings → Manage Blocked Apps. Apple's picker controls the actual list — make sure the apps you want shielded are checked.
  • Available time balance: if your balance isn't zero, the apps are intentionally unblocked. They'll re-shield once you spend the time.
  • iOS Screen Time conflicts: if you have Apple's own Screen Time app limits configured, they may interact unpredictably. Try disabling them temporarily.

Still stuck? Email us with your iPhone model and iOS version.

My reps aren't being counted accurately.

Pose detection runs on a real-time on-device model — accuracy depends a lot on the setup. A quick checklist:

  • Lighting: well-lit room, no harsh backlight (sun behind you, lamp behind you, etc.).
  • Framing: your full body should be in frame — head to feet for squats, shoulders to ankles for pushups, full body for planks.
  • Distance: roughly 6 feet (2 meters) between phone and you usually works best.
  • Phone position: stable surface or stand. Don't hold the phone.
  • Clothing: high-contrast outfits (against the floor/wall) help; very baggy clothing can confuse the model.
  • Form: clean reps with full range of motion are detected best. Half-reps or extremely fast reps may be missed.
How do I cancel my subscription, or restore it on a new phone?

Subscriptions are processed by Apple, so cancellation lives in your Apple ID, not in our App.

Cancel:

  1. Open iOS Settings → tap your name at the top.
  2. Tap Subscriptions.
  3. Tap BurnToScroll.
  4. Tap Cancel Subscription.

Or use this direct deeplink: apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. You'll keep premium access for the rest of the period you paid for.

Restore on a new phone:

  1. Sign in to the new phone with the same Apple ID you used to subscribe.
  2. Install BurnToScroll.
  3. Open the paywall and tap Restore Purchases.
I want a refund.

All payments go through Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Submit a refund request at reportaproblem.apple.com — sign in with the Apple ID that made the purchase, find BurnToScroll, and choose "Request a refund."

If Apple denies the refund and you'd still like to talk to us about your experience, please email us. We can't reverse the charge but we'd like to know what went wrong.

My streak says it broke even though I exercised.

The streak counts calendar days on which you completed at least one workout, in your phone's local time. Common pitfalls:

  • You finished a workout just after midnight, so it counted toward the next day.
  • You changed iPhone time zones — the day boundary shifted.
  • Your phone was off / the app wasn't opened for a full day.

If you believe the streak broke incorrectly, email us with the date and time of your most recent workout and we'll take a look.

I'm not getting any notifications from BurnToScroll.

If reminders, streak warnings, or balance alerts aren't showing up:

  1. iOS SettingsNotificationsBurnToScroll. Make sure Allow Notifications is on, and Lock Screen / Banners are enabled.
  2. In BurnToScroll → Settings, confirm the relevant toggles (Daily Reminder, Streak Alerts, Weekly Summary) are on.
  3. Make sure you're not in a Focus mode that's silencing the App.
  4. If you initially declined the notifications prompt during onboarding, iOS won't ask again — re-enable it from the Settings step above.
How do I delete all my data?

Your data is stored locally on the phone, so you control it directly:

  • Just clear exercise history: BurnToScroll → Settings → Clear History.
  • Wipe everything in-App: BurnToScroll → Settings → Reset All Settings.
  • Remove the App and all of its data: long-press the App icon on your Home Screen → Remove App → Delete App.

See the Privacy Policy for the full story on what data exists and where.

Can you add Android support / a feature I'd love?

We love feature requests. The fastest way is the Send Feedback row in the App's Settings → Support section, which pre-fills your iPhone model and version so we can prioritize. Or just email us directly.

Android support isn't on the immediate roadmap — the App depends on Apple's Family Controls / Screen Time, which has no direct equivalent on Android.
