Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and BurnToScroll. By installing or using the App you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.

1. Acceptance of these Terms
BurnToScroll (the "App") is offered to you, the end user ("you"), by Vishwesh Pratap Singh ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. The App is also subject to the standard Apple End User License Agreement; where the two conflict, the stricter of the two applies.
2. Eligibility
The App is intended for users who are at least 13 years old. If you are between 13 and the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the App only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using the App, you represent that you meet these requirements.
3. The service
BurnToScroll uses your iPhone's camera and on-device pose detection to count reps of supported exercises (pushups, squats, planks). Each rep or held second contributes to a screen-time balance. You select which apps to block via Apple's Family Controls / Screen Time framework, and iOS shields those apps until your balance can pay for the time you spend in them. The exact conversion rate (minutes earned per rep), daily goal, and reminders are configurable in the App.
Some features are gated behind a paid subscription. Free-tier limits and premium features are disclosed in-app at the point of purchase.
4. License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control. This license is for your personal, non-commercial use only.
5. Restrictions
You agree that you will not:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the App
- Use the App in any manner that violates applicable law or these Terms
- Resell, sublicense, lease, or commercially exploit the App
- Use any automated means, scripts, or bots to fake reps, plank duration, or screen-time earnings
- Attach abusive, illegal, or rights-infringing content to share-card images
- Interfere with the App's normal operation, security, or other users' access
6. Subscriptions & payments
BurnToScroll offers auto-renewing subscriptions, currently a weekly tier and an annual tier. Pricing, free-trial length (if any), and renewal terms are shown in the App at the point of purchase, and are pulled live from Apple's App Store.
All payments are processed by Apple. Subscription receipts and entitlement state are reconciled by RevenueCat on our behalf. We never see or store your card details.
Auto-renewal
Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the period.
Cancellation & refunds
You can cancel a subscription, manage upgrades/downgrades, or turn off auto-renewal at any time from iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep premium access for the rest of the current paid period.
All refund requests are governed by Apple's policy, not ours. Submit them at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Restoring purchases
If you reinstall the App or switch devices using the same Apple ID, you can restore an active subscription via the "Restore Purchases" option on the paywall.
7. Health & fitness disclaimer
BurnToScroll is not a medical device, and its content is not medical advice.
Consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any exercise program — especially if you are pregnant, have a heart condition, are recovering from injury, or have any other condition that may make exercise risky for you. By using the App you acknowledge that physical exercise carries an inherent risk of injury, and you assume that risk yourself.
Stop exercising immediately and seek medical help if you experience pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, chest discomfort, or any other concerning symptom.
Pose detection is a best-effort estimate based on a machine-learning model running on your device. Lighting, framing, body angle, clothing, and other environmental factors can all reduce its accuracy. Rep counts and plank durations should be treated as approximate; do not rely on them as a clinical measure of your fitness.
8. App-blocking disclaimer
BurnToScroll uses Apple's Family Controls / Screen Time framework to shield the apps you select. We have no ability to bypass, weaken, or extend the shielding behavior beyond what iOS itself supports. As a result:
- Emergency calls, emergency text messages, and other system-critical functions are never blocked by the App.
- Apple may change Family Controls behavior in iOS updates; the App reflects whatever the OS does on your device.
- We make no guarantee that blocking will reduce your screen time, increase your productivity, or improve your wellbeing. Outcomes depend on you.
9. Intellectual property
The App, the BurnToScroll name and logo, the website, and all related content are owned by Vishwesh Pratap Singh and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of those rights to you.
10. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL WE, INCLUDING OUR OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, OR AFFILIATES, BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES — ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE APP. OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE APP OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $20.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the limitations above may not apply to you.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Vishwesh Pratap Singh and any affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
13. Termination
You may terminate this agreement at any time by uninstalling the App. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law. The sections that by their nature should survive termination — including IP, disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law — will survive.
14. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App will be resolved in courts of competent jurisdiction located in the United States, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
Where local consumer-protection laws grant you mandatory rights or a different forum, those rights and forum prevail to the extent the law requires.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Effective date" at the top, and material changes will also be highlighted in the App on your next launch. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
