Important: All this information is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to our servers or the cloud.

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

The app automatically collects the following information to provide and improve functionality:

Study Progress Data (Local Storage Only)

• Test scores and results (pass/fail, time taken, questions answered)
• Lesson completion status and reading progress
• Bookmarked questions and incorrectly answered questions
• Topic-wise performance scores and weak area identification
• Study time tracking (daily and total minutes studied)
• Experience points (XP), level, and achievement unlocks
• Daily study streaks (current streak, longest streak)

Storage: All progress data is stored locally in an encrypted SQLite database on your device.

Anonymous Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how users interact with the app and improve the experience. Analytics data collected includes:

• App open events and screen views
• Feature usage (test starts/completions, lesson views)
• Test performance statistics (scores, pass/fail - without personal identification)
• Subscription events (views, purchases)
• Device type and operating system version

Important: Analytics are completely anonymous and contain no personally identifiable information (PII). We cannot identify you individually from analytics data.

Crash Reports

We use Firebase Crashlytics to identify and fix app crashes. Crash reports may include:

• Device model and operating system version
• App version and crash timestamps
• Technical crash logs and stack traces

Crash reports do not contain personal information or your study data.

We do not have access to your payment card details. All payment processing is handled securely by Apple.

4.1 Local Storage

All your personal data and study progress is stored locally on your device using:

• SQLite Database: Encrypted local database for questions, progress, and test results
• Secure Storage: iOS secure storage mechanisms (Keychain) for sensitive settings

Your data never leaves your device except for anonymous analytics and subscription verification.

4.2 Security Measures

We implement appropriate security measures including:

• iOS platform encryption for all local data
• HTTPS encryption for all network communications
• Secure token-based authentication with RevenueCat
• Regular security updates and patches

4.3 No Cloud Sync

The app does not sync your data to the cloud or across devices. If you delete the app or switch devices, your study progress will be lost unless you restore from an iOS device backup.

5. Data Retention

5.1 Local Data

Data stored on your device is retained indefinitely until you:

• Delete specific data (e.g., clear test history)
• Use "Reset Everything" in app settings
• Uninstall the app

5.2 Analytics Data

Anonymous analytics data is retained according to Firebase's data retention policies:

• Raw event data: 2 months
• Aggregated reports: 14 months

5.3 Subscription Data

Purchase and subscription records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat according to their respective policies for accounting, tax, and fraud prevention purposes.

6. Your Rights and Choices

6.1 Access and Control Your Data

• View Your Data: All your data is accessible within the app (Settings, Analytics, Test History)
• Delete Your Data: Use "Clear All Progress" or "Reset Everything" in Settings to delete local data
• Modify Settings: Change preferences, language, and notifications at any time in Settings

6.2 Notifications

You can control study reminder notifications:

• Enable/disable notifications in app Settings
• Change notification times and frequency
• Revoke notification permission in iOS Settings

6.3 Subscription Management

To manage or cancel your subscription:

1. Open iOS Settings
2. Tap your name at the top
3. Tap "Subscriptions"
4. Select "German Citizenship Test"
5. Tap "Cancel Subscription"

6.4 Data Portability

Currently, the app does not provide automated data export. If you need a copy of your data, contact us at golukicoding@gmail.com and we will assist you.

7. Children's Privacy

The German Citizenship Test app is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at golukicoding@gmail.com.

The app is designed for individuals preparing for the German citizenship test, which typically requires applicants to be at least 16 years of age.

8. International Data Transfers

The app is available worldwide. Anonymous analytics and crash report data may be transferred to and stored on servers located in:

• United States: RevenueCat servers
