Q: What languages are supported?
The app supports 10 languages: German (Deutsch), English, Turkish (Türkçe), Arabic (العربية), Polish (Polski), Ukrainian (Українська), Romanian (Română), Italian (Italiano), Russian (Русский), and Persian (فارسی). You can switch languages anytime in Settings.
Q: Is the content official and up to date?
Yes! The app contains all 460 official questions from the German citizenship test, including questions for all 16 Bundesländer (federal states). We regularly update the content to match current test requirements.
Q: What's the difference between Free and Premium?
Free Version: Access to 50 questions, Chapter 1, 1 mock test per day, basic analytics.
Premium Version: Unlimited access to all 460 questions, all chapters, unlimited mock tests, custom test builder, complete analytics, Bundesland content, and ad-free experience.
Q: How much does Premium cost?
Premium is available as an annual or weekly subscription. Pricing varies by region and is displayed in the app. The annual plan offers the best value with significant savings compared to weekly billing.
Q: Is there a free trial?
Yes! Some subscription plans include a 3-day free trial. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, you'll be charged for the subscription. Free trials are available once per user.
Q: How do I cancel my subscription?
To cancel your subscription:
1. Open iOS Settings
2. Tap your name at the top
3. Tap "Subscriptions"
4. Select "German Citizenship Test"
5. Tap "Cancel Subscription"
Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period.
Q: Can I restore my purchase on a new device?
Yes! Tap "Restore Purchases" in the app's subscription/paywall screen. Make sure you're using the same Apple ID that you used for the original purchase.
Q: How do I request a refund?
All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store. To request a refund, contact Apple Support directly or visit
reportaproblem.apple.com. Sign in with your Apple ID and select the purchase you'd like to request a refund for.
Q: Does my data sync across devices?
No. The app stores all data locally on your device for privacy. Your progress does not sync to the cloud or across devices. If you delete the app or switch devices, you'll lose your progress unless you restore from an iOS device backup.
Q: How do I delete my data?
Go to Settings → Danger Zone → "Clear All Progress" to delete your study history and progress. To completely remove all data, use "Reset Everything" or uninstall the app.
Q: What is the AI Pass Prediction feature?
The AI Pass Prediction analyzes your test performance, topic mastery, and study patterns to estimate your likelihood of passing the actual citizenship test. It helps you know when you're ready to take the real exam.
Q: Which Bundesland should I select?
Select the German federal state (Bundesland) where you will take the citizenship test. The actual exam includes 3 questions specific to your Bundesland. You can change this selection anytime in Settings.
Q: How many questions do I need to pass the real test?
The official German citizenship test has 33 multiple-choice questions: 30 general questions and 3 Bundesland-specific questions. You need to answer at least 17 correctly to pass (approximately 51% passing score).
Troubleshooting Guide
App Crashes or Freezes
- Force close and restart: Double-tap home button (or swipe up), swipe away the app, then reopen it
- Update the app: Check the App Store for available updates
- Restart your device: Power off and back on
- Reinstall: Delete and reinstall the app (note: you'll lose progress unless backed up)
Tip: If crashes persist, contact support with your device model and iOS version.
Subscription Issues
Problem: "Restore Purchases" doesn't work
- Ensure you're connected to the internet
- Verify you're using the same Apple ID for the original purchase
- Wait a few minutes after purchase before restoring
- Restart the app and try again
Problem: Charged but still showing as Free
- Tap "Restore Purchases" in the app
- Check your Apple ID subscriptions to verify the purchase went through
- Wait 5-10 minutes as processing can take time
- If issue persists after 24 hours, contact support
Problem: Can't cancel subscription
- Subscriptions are managed through Apple, not in our app
- Follow the cancellation steps in the FAQ above
- Contact Apple Support if you can't access subscription settings
Progress Not Saving
- Ensure you have sufficient storage space on your device
- Don't force close the app immediately after completing a test
- Check if "Low Power Mode" is interfering with background saves
- Try the "Clear Cache" option in Settings (won't delete progress)
Notifications Not Working
- Check app permissions: iOS Settings → Notifications → German Citizenship Test → Allow Notifications
- Enable in app: App Settings → Notifications → Toggle on
- Do Not Disturb: Check if Do Not Disturb mode is enabled
- Scheduled Focus: Check Focus settings aren't blocking notifications
Language/Translation Issues
- Change language in: Settings → Language
- Restart the app after changing language
- Some minor UI elements may remain in English (interface language)
- Report any mistranslations to support for fixing
Audio (Text-to-Speech) Not Working
- Ensure device volume is turned up and not muted
- Check that "Audio" is enabled in app Settings
- Download the language voice pack in iOS Settings → Accessibility → Spoken Content → Voices
- Some languages may have limited TTS support

Privacy & Data
Data Storage
All your study progress, test results, and personal preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not sync your data to the cloud or share it with third parties (except anonymous analytics).

Deleting Your Data
You can delete all your data at any time in Settings → Danger Zone. This action is irreversible.
