3.1 OpenAI (Transcription and AI Features)

- Your transcripts for summary generation
- Your chat messages when using AI features

4. Data Storage and Security
4.1 Local Storage
All of your recordings, transcripts, and summaries are stored locally on your device in the following ways:
- Audio Files: Saved in the App's private document directory on your device
- Meeting Data: Stored in a local SQLite database on your device
- User Preferences: Saved in device storage (AsyncStorage)
Important: We do not provide cloud backup. If you uninstall the App or reset your device, your data will be permanently deleted unless you have exported it.
4.2 Security Measures
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data:
- Data is stored in the App's private sandbox on your device
- Communications with third-party services use HTTPS encryption
- We do not store your recordings on our servers
- Access to device features requires your explicit permission
4.3 Data Retention
- Local Data: Retained on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App
- OpenAI Processing: Subject to OpenAI's data retention policies
- Analytics Data: Retained by Firebase according to their retention policies (typically 2-14 months)
- Crash Reports: Retained by Firebase for up to 90 days
5. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
5.1 Access and Control Your Data
You have the following rights regarding your data:
- Access: View all your recordings and data within the App
- Export: Export your meetings as text or PDF files
- Delete: Delete individual recordings or all data through the App settings
- Modify: Edit meeting titles and other metadata
5.2 Manage Permissions
You can control App permissions through your device settings:
- iOS: Settings → aiSummerizer → Permissions
- Android: Settings → Apps → aiSummerizer → Permissions
5.3 Delete All Data
To completely delete all your data:
- Open the App and go to Settings
- Tap "Clear All Data"
- Confirm deletion
This will permanently delete all recordings, transcripts, and summaries from your device.
5.4 Opt-Out of Analytics
While we don't currently provide an in-app analytics opt-out, you can limit tracking by:
- iOS: Settings → Privacy → Analytics & Improvements → Disable "Share iPhone Analytics"
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
6. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including:
- United States: Where OpenAI and Google/Firebase servers are located
- Other countries where our service providers operate
These countries may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to these countries.
7. Children's Privacy
aiSummerizer is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will take steps to delete such information.
8. Do Not Track
The App does not respond to "Do Not Track" signals from browsers, as it is a mobile application. However, you can control certain tracking through device settings as described in Section 5.4.
