Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Medborgarskapsprov: Quiz 2026 ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use it. The App is a study tool that helps you prepare for Sweden's citizenship test (medborgarskapsprov). We built it to work with as little of your data as possible.
The short version: your study progress stays on your device. We do not require an account, we never sell your data, and any usage analytics are anonymous and collected only if you allow tracking.
Who is responsible
The App is published by the independent developer of Medborgarskapsprov: Quiz 2026 (the "data controller" under the GDPR). The only way to contact us about privacy is by email: golukicoding@gmail.com.
Information stored on your device
The following is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to us:
- Your study progress, test history, scores, streaks and achievements
- App settings (language, theme, notification and study preferences)
- An optional first name and target test date you may enter during onboarding
This data lives only on your phone. You can erase it at any time from the App's settings ("Reset progress" / "Reset everything") or by deleting the App.
Analytics and crash reporting
To understand how the App is used and to fix problems, we use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. These collect anonymous, aggregated information such as which screens are opened, general device model and OS version, and technical crash diagnostics. This data is not used to identify you personally.
Advertising measurement
We use the Meta (Facebook) SDK to measure the performance of marketing campaigns (for example, whether an ad led to an install or a subscription). The App does not display third-party advertisements to you.
Your choice — App Tracking Transparency
On iOS, the App asks for your permission before any analytics or measurement is collected. If you decline, we stay "dark" and do not collect that data. You can change your choice at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, or turn off analytics collection entirely there.
Purchases and subscriptions
Optional Premium subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple through your App Store account; we never see or store your payment card details. We use RevenueCat to manage your subscription entitlement (i.e. whether Premium is active). RevenueCat receives a random, app-generated identifier and your purchase status — not your name or payment information.
Notifications
If you enable reminders, the App may send you local and push notifications (for example study-streak or test-date reminders). You can turn these off at any time in the App or in your device settings.
Children
The App is intended for adults preparing for the citizenship test and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
International transfers
Our service providers (Apple, Google and Meta) may process data on servers outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States. Where that happens, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights under the GDPR
Because we collect very little and it is largely anonymous, we usually cannot link data to you as an individual. Where the GDPR applies, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email us at golukicoding@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
Data retention
On-device data is kept until you delete it or uninstall the App. Anonymous analytics and crash data are retained by our providers according to their standard retention periods.

Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new "last updated" date at the top of this page.
