A: No account creation required! All your data is stored locally on your device, giving you complete control and privacy over your collection information.
Q: How accurate is the card scanning?
A: Our AI-powered scanning technology has over 95% accuracy rate for Yu-Gi-Oh cards. It works best with clear, well-lit photos of cards in good condition.
Q: Can I scan foreign language cards?
A: Yes! The scanner can identify cards in multiple languages including Japanese, German, French, Italian, and Spanish versions.
Q: How often are prices updated?
A: Prices are updated in real-time when you request them. We cache pricing data for 24 hours to provide fast loading while ensuring reasonable freshness.
Q: Is my collection data backed up?
A: Currently, data is stored locally on your device. We recommend using your device's backup features (iCloud, Google Backup) to protect your collection data.
Q: Can I export my collection list?
A: Yes! You can export your collection data in CSV format for use in spreadsheets or other applications. Look for the export option in the Collection tab.
Q: Does the app work offline?
A: Basic functionality works offline, including viewing your collection and deck building. However, card scanning, price updates, and database searches require an internet connection.
Q: Are you affiliated with Konami or Yu-Gi-Oh?
A: No, YuGiOh Scanner is an independent app created by fans for fans. We are not affiliated with Konami or any official Yu-Gi-Oh entities.

🔧 Troubleshooting

Camera/Scanning Issues

1 Camera Permission: Ensure the app has camera access in your device settings. Go to Settings > Privacy > Camera (iOS) or Settings > Apps > YuGiOh Scanner > Permissions (Android).
2 Lighting Conditions: Use good lighting when scanning. Natural light or bright indoor lighting works best. Avoid shadows and glare on the card surface.
3 Card Position: Hold the card flat and fill most of the camera frame. Ensure the entire card is visible and not cut off at the edges.
4 Card Condition: Very damaged, worn, or heavily played cards may be harder to scan. Try scanning a cleaner version of the same card if available.

App Performance Issues

1 Restart the App: Close the app completely and reopen it. On iOS, swipe up and swipe away the app. On Android, use the recent apps button.
2 Check Internet Connection: Ensure you have a stable internet connection for scanning and price updates. Try switching between WiFi and mobile data.
3 Update the App: Make sure you're using the latest version from your app store. Updates often include performance improvements and bug fixes.
4 Free Up Storage: Ensure your device has sufficient storage space. Low storage can cause app performance issues.

Deck Building Issues

💡 Tip: Yu-Gi-Oh decks must follow official tournament rules:
  • Main Deck: 40-60 cards
  • Extra Deck: 0-15 cards
  • Side Deck: 0-15 cards
  • Maximum 3 copies of any card (except Limited/Semi-Limited)

Price Data Issues

⚠️ Important: Prices are estimates from various sources and may not reflect current market conditions. Always verify prices before making purchases or trades.
Why do some cards show $0.00?
This usually means the card is not currently available in the marketplace or has no recent sales data. Check alternative sources or wait for market data to refresh.

📱 System Requirements

Minimum Requirements:
  • iOS: iOS 13.0 or later, iPhone 6s or newer
  • Android: Android 8.0 (API level 26) or later
  • Storage: 100MB free space
  • Camera: Rear-facing camera for scanning
  • Internet: Required for card database and price updates
💡 Recommended: For best performance, use devices with at least 3GB RAM and recent camera technology for optimal scanning accuracy.

  • Local Storage: All collection data is stored on your device
  • No Cloud Sync: We don't upload your personal collection to our servers
  • Camera Privacy: Photos are processed locally and not transmitted
