Acceptance of these terms

By downloading or using French Citizenship Test 2026 (shown on your device as “Examen Civique” — “the App”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. The App is published by its independent developer; the only contact channel is golukicoding@gmail.com.

What the App is

The App is a study and practice tool for France’s civic exam (examen civique), required since 1 January 2026 for naturalisation and certain residence permits. It offers structured lessons across the five official subjects, practice questions with explanations, realistic mock exams in the official format (40 multiple-choice questions — 28 knowledge and 12 situational — in 45 minutes, pass mark 32/40), flashcards, and progress tracking. The App works offline and requires no account.

Independent — and no guarantee

French Citizenship Test 2026 is an independent study aid. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the French Ministry of the Interior (ministère de l’Intérieur), the OFII, France Éducation International, the CCI Paris Île-de-France, or any other government body.

Mock exams simulate the official format but are not the official test. Using the App does not guarantee that you will pass, and nothing in the App is legal or immigration advice. Always rely on official sources — in particular service-public.gouv.fr — for the definitive requirements and procedures.

Your licence to use the App

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your own study. You may not copy, resell, redistribute, scrape, reverse-engineer or commercially exploit the App or its content, except where the law or an open licence (see “Content sources” below) expressly permits it.

Free version

The App is free to download and free to use with limits, currently: one mock exam per day, a limited portion of the question bank, the first subject’s lessons, and a limited number of custom-test tries. We may adjust what the free tier includes; the App always shows the current limits before you hit them.

Premium subscriptions

An optional auto-renewing Premium subscription unlocks the full experience: unlimited mock exams, the complete question bank, all lessons, and the custom test builder. Two plans are offered — weekly (which includes a 3-day free trial) and annual. Exact prices are always shown in the App before purchase and may vary by country.

Content sources, open licence and accuracy

Some knowledge questions in the App reuse, verbatim, question stems from the official public question bank for the examen civique published by the ministère de l’Intérieur (version of 12 December 2025), made available under the Licence Ouverte / Open Licence 2.0 (Etalab). Lessons draw on facts from public official documents, notably the Livret du citoyen and the official civic-training reference material (formation-civique.interieur.gouv.fr). This attribution is provided under that licence; it does not imply any official endorsement.

All other content — answer options, explanations, situational scenarios, lesson texts, translations, design and software — is the original work of the developer (see “Intellectual property”).

We work hard to keep content accurate and current, but laws, institutions and facts change, and errors are possible. Content in the App is provided for exam preparation only. If you spot a mistake, please tell us at golukicoding@gmail.com — we correct verified errors in updates.

Intellectual property

Except for the officially sourced material described above, the App and its content (software, design, texts, questions, explanations, lessons, illustrations) are owned by the developer and protected by intellectual-property law. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the App lawfully and for personal study only. You must not disrupt or attempt to disrupt the App, access it by unauthorised means, bypass technical limits (including free-tier limits), or extract its content in bulk.

Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose, availability, and accuracy of content — to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, nor for the outcome of any official exam or administrative procedure, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the App. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or mandatory rights you have as a consumer.

Changes and termination

We may update the App, its features and these terms from time to time; the date above reflects the latest version, and continued use after a change means you accept it. We may suspend or discontinue the App or any feature at any time. You may stop using the App at any time; sections that by nature survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, governing law) survive termination.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of France, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence.
