SQE Master (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application (“App”).
Your study data — quiz answers, flashcards, progress — stays on your device. We use lightweight analytics and ad-attribution SDKs only to measure how the App is performing and where new users come from. You control these in your device settings and (in the EEA / UK / Switzerland) in our in-app consent prompt.
1. Information We Collect
SQE Master is account-free. We do not collect your name, email address, or any contact details, and we do not require you to sign in.
All your study data (flashcards, quiz scores, bookmarks, progress) is stored locally on your device only using on-device storage (SQLite and AsyncStorage). This data never leaves your device.
With your consent (see Section 5 below), we collect a limited set of technical and product-analytics signals through Google Analytics for Firebase and the Meta SDK:
- App lifecycle events (app open, screen view, onboarding completion, paywall view, in-app purchase)
- Pseudonymous device identifiers used by analytics SDKs (Firebase Installation ID, Meta App Events ID)
- The Apple Advertising Identifier (IDFA) — only if you allow it through the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt
- Crash reports (via Firebase Crashlytics) so we can fix bugs
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, browsing activity, or any content from outside the App.
2. No User Accounts
SQE Master does not require you to create an account. There is no registration, login, or user profile. The App is fully anonymous.
3. Subscriptions and Payments
We offer optional subscriptions managed through Apple’s In-App Purchase system:
- Weekly subscription with a 3-day free trial
- Annual subscription
Payment and subscription management is handled entirely by Apple. We do not have access to your payment details. Apple’s own Privacy Policy governs the information they process for purchases.
4. Third-Party Service: RevenueCat
We use RevenueCat solely to manage subscription status (e.g., whether your subscription is active, expired, or in a free trial). RevenueCat receives only anonymised subscription identifiers provided by Apple. We do not share any personal data with RevenueCat.
RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy: revenuecat.com/privacy
5. Analytics & Advertising
We use the following third-party SDKs to measure App performance and to attribute installs from advertising we run:
- Google Analytics for Firebase — aggregated product analytics (screen views, app events, crash reports). Linked to Google Ads so we can measure which campaigns drive installs and subscriptions. Firebase privacy.
- Meta SDK (Facebook) — auto-logged app events to attribute installs from Meta ads. Meta privacy.
- Apple SKAdNetwork & AdAttributionKit — Apple’s privacy-preserving install-attribution frameworks. These send aggregated, de-identified postbacks; no individual user data is shared.
When you allow tracking through the iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt, your Apple Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and a small set of aggregated, hashed event signals (such as “subscription purchased” with the purchase value and currency) may be shared with Google Ads and Meta Ads for conversion attribution. No quiz answers, study progress, or personal content is ever shared with advertisers.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you will see an in-app consent prompt on first launch (Google Consent Mode v2). Until you accept, all advertising and analytics signals default to denied. You can change your decision at any time by uninstalling and reinstalling the App, or by contacting us at the address in Section 12.
6. Data Sharing
Other than the third-party services described in Sections 4 and 5, we do not share, sell, rent, or distribute any user data.
7. Data Security
Because all study data is stored locally on your device and we do not operate servers that hold user data, the security of your information is managed by your device’s built-in protections (passcode, encryption, etc.).
8. Children’s Privacy
SQE Master is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.
9. Your Rights (GDPR & UK GDPR)
If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland and have given consent under Section 5, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, or object to the processing of the limited analytics and advertising data described above, and to withdraw your consent at any time. We do not collect any personal identifying data such as name, email, or address, so there is no profile to request. To exercise your rights or ask questions, contact us at the address in Section 12.
10. Data Retention
All data stored on your device is controlled entirely by you. You can delete it at any time by uninstalling the App or using the in-app reset options.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
